9am-4pm - WESTERN ART SHOW

1pm - PRCA STEER
ROPING - Dodge City Roundup Arena
The fun begins at
1pm, as the competitors do their best to gain a top spot in the
contest. Most of the worlds best steer ropers will be here. Following
steer roping will be CELEBRITY TEAM ROPING/STEER ROPING FINALS.
You will see the best
of the best at the final rounds of the roping events!
6pm - FAMILY
HAMBURGER NIGHT/MEDIA NIGHT - Wright Park
A long standing
favorite of many in Dodge City is the Family/Media Night in Wright
Park. Wear your lapel pin and the first 1500 people get a
hamburger, chips, and Pepsi courtesy of National Beef, Pepsi and
Dillons Super Store. Also sponsored by local media: Cox
Communications, Dodge City Daily Globe, KBSD-TV, KJIL Radio, KSNG, KUPK-TV, and Q-97, Z-98. These media groups send out their
employee’s to cook hamburgers and meet and greet the public.
7pm - COX COMMUNICATIONS “SUMMER SING 2009”
- Wright Park
Preliminary winners
will advance and compete in the “Summer Sing 2009” finals on July 28th
from 7pm-10pm at the Wright Park Bandshell. Contestants will be judged
on Audience Response, Vocal Ability, Stage Presence, Rhythm and Timing.
Age divisions are the following: Youth 0-11, Teen 12-17, and Adult &
over. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists in each
division. This event is in conjunction with “Family/Media Night” and is
free for the whole family so make sure to bring your lawn chairs.
Karaoke puts the instruments behind you, the words in front of you, and
a mike in your hand for a magical performance. For more information on
