7:30am – Dodge City Days “Saddle Up” Bike Ride -
Waters True Value Parking Lot
A biking adventure
suitable for all bicycling enthusiasts. Choice of routes allows riders
to travel 8 miles, 20.5 miles, 28.5 miles, or 41 miles. Refreshments
provided at the starting/finishing lines and the halfway point for
longer rides. Routes will start at the parking lot of Waters True Value.

9am-5pm - DODGE CITY DAYS ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW
- Downtown Dodge City
Bring your family
downtown to the Dodge City Days Arts & Crafts
Show at 9am and enjoy the finest crafts around. There will be food,
music and fun for the whole family. There will be vendors from all over
the United States to show off their wares. This is the first day of a
two-day show. For more information, contact the Dodge City Area Chamber

10am - OPTIMIST KIDDIE
PARADE
- Sacred Heart School Parking Lot to
Boot Hill Parking Lot
Optimist Kiddie
Parade is a short parade through downtown Dodge City for children ages
12 and under. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd place in 3 different groups, individual, small group
and large group; plus there will be a grand prize winner! Registration
begins at 9am at Sacred Heart School parking lot. The kids will end up
at Boot Hill parking lot with drinks being given to all participants.
Awards are presented at the end of the trail. For more information and
rules call Becki Salm at 620-408-9906. Must be registered by 9:30am to
be judged.
10am-5pm – DODGE CITY DAYS 2008 CLASSIC CAR SHOW
- Wright Park
Sponsored by Mr. Tire, see classic cars from all over the
country. You choose the best classics with the People’s Choice Award.
Games and prizes all day. Awards will be handed out at 4pm.
There will be a coloring contest sponsored by Super Hits 96.
Admission to the show is a lapel pin. This event is organized by
Bailey’s Body Shop. Media sponsor is Super Hits 96.3.

10am-4pm - CARNEGIE FOR THE ART’S “KIDS ART”
- Carnegie Center
“Kids Art” is an
outdoor festival of the arts for children, presented in conjunction with
the Dodge City Days Arts & Crafts Show, brought to you by the Carnegie
Center. Carnegie Center and “Kids Art” are offering the kids
opportunity to participate in hands-on art activities, both educational
and entertaining, provided free of charge. This event takes place in
front of Bank of America on 2nd St. For more information

12 NOON - HIGH NOON GUNFIGHT -
Boot Hill Museum
Turn a page back in time and experience one of the largest Old West
gunfights in the world. The iron will of the Dodge City Lawmen will be
pitted against that of the rough and rowdy cowboys in search of whiskey
and women. The world famous Boot Hill Gunfighters and alumni gunfighters
meet up for the showdown of the year and it’s FREE to the public. See
you at the High Noon Gunfight at Boot Hill Museum Complex. Gates open
at 11:45 and space is limited.
12pm-2pm - MISS RODEO KANSAS AND TEEN PAGEANT STYLE SHOW
- Knights of Columbus
Enjoy a style show
with Miss Rodeo Kansas and Teen Pageant participants. Tickets may be
purchased in advance at Dodge City Roundup Offices at 608 S. 14th,
Long’s at 2207 Central Ave., or by calling Maureen Flax at 620-227-7315.
7pm – MISS TEEN
RODEO KANSAS CORONATION/MISS RODEO KANSAS CORONATION- Dodge City
Roundup Arena
On this night at the
Rodeo you will see Miss Rodeo Kansas and Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas
crowned! Miss Rodeo Kansas Queen coronation immediately follows the
Teen coronation. They will be available throughout the rodeo for
autographs.

RODEO/WRANGLER NIGHT/TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK

Hall of Fame Induction. Rodeos across the nation have started Tough
Enough To Wear Pink (TETWP) to show their support for breast cancer
awareness. Everyone attending the rodeo is encouraged to wear pink.
There will be “pink” items available for purchase. Through sponsor
contributions and local support of pink items purchased, we hope to
exceed last year’s amount of over $5000. Donation will be made to the
local Circle of Hope Cancer Survivors group. See page 7 for
description.
8pm – CLASSIC ROCK CONCERT “JURY”
- Wright Park
Sponsored by Davis Electric, Inc. and 93.9 “The Buzzard”,
Jury, a classic rock band, will be playing favorite classic hits by
bands such as Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Lynrd Skynrd, Foreigner, Boston,
Pat Benetar, ZZ Top and many more. Pack up the whole family and spend a
free evening “under the stars” listening to some good old
rock and roll. There will be a beer garden, as well as a food
vendor on location selling food and drink.
