DAWN TO DUSK CITY WIDE SIDEWALK SALE

From the first light of day ‘til the heat melts you, enjoy the biggest and best deals of the year!  In all shopping areas of Dodge City you will find bargains galore. 

7am – DODGE CITY DAYS 5K AND 1 MILE SHOOT OUT - 2nd and Gunsmoke

Come enjoy some exercise before the parade.  Run a 5K or a 1 Mile or be energetic and run both.  If you enjoy walking, take a nice one mile walk down the parade route.  Any questions call Buc Bolmer at 620-225-4496 or e-mail at bolmer@cox.net.  We look forward to seeing you there.

 7:30am-6pm - COORS/MGA GOLF TOURNAMENT - Mariah Hills

This tournament sponsored by Coors and the Men’s Golf Association begins on Saturday.  There will be a Free Hamburger Fry sponsored by Southwest Distributing Inc. from 11am-2pm.  For more information, contact 620-225-8182.

10am - DODGE CITY DAYS WESTERN PARADE - Civic Center to Dodge City Roundup Arena

We present to you the 48th Dodge City Days Western Parade.  Our theme this year, “Dodge City Days…Enjoy The Ride”, promises to make great floats sponsored by local businesses and clubs.  A judge’s stand will house those who are voting on the floats for awards.  To enter the parade, contact KBSD-TV at 620-227-3121.

11am- 18th ANNUAL BARBECUE/BACKYARD BARBECUE CONTEST - Wright Park

This event is sanctioned by the KCBS (Kansas City Barbecue Society) as an official cook off, and entering its 18th year of the best BBQ in Southwest Kansas!  At 11:00 am the public is invited to join us to sample the best of the best in BBQ.  Entry into the park is a lapel pin and $2.00.  Kids under 10 free with a lapel pin.  The BACKYARD BBQ is for the backyard chef to show off their culinary skills.  Participants will prepare for judges only.  Cargill and National Beef provide the public sampling BBQ.  There will be a live band and fun for the kids.  For more information, contact the Chamber office at 620-227-3119. 

6pm- 12am – STREET DANCE - Central Station

Admission will be $3.00 off with lapel pin.

6:30-9pm - BOOT HILL BULL FRY & BASH - Boot Hill Museum Complex

The 7th Annual Boot Hill Bull Fry & Bash is sponsored by Pepsi, Q97 & Z98, and Gene’s Heartland Foods.  We are changing things around a bit, so here’s the deal.  One ticket price gets you in the door and you can eat all you care to eat.  The menu is Calf Fries, Beef Brisket, Coleslaw, Sally’s Potatoes n’Onions, Baked Beans, Pepsi and Ice Tea.  Alcohol will be sold separately.  You will be entertained while you eat by the Q97 Road Show. Tickets are $10.00 with a Dodge City Days Pin or $12.00 without. Children 10 and under are $5.00 with a DC Days Pin or $7.00 without.  All proceeds benefit Boot Hill Museum. 7pm - DODGE CITY DAYS RACES - Dodge City Raceway Park

Gates open at 5:30pm and races begin at 7pm. Lapel pin wearers will receive $2.00 off general admission price only.  For more information, contact the DCRP office at 620-225-3277.

9:00pm- 1:30am – CENTRAL STATION STREET DANCE - Central Station

Restaurant will be serving food until 10pm inside. The rock band “Ask Vinnie” will crank out the tunes outside. After 10pm, the Station’s Deejay will provide a mixed genre of music inside. Must be 21.

9:30pm– STREET DANCE - Casey’s Cowtown
