Friday, July 31st    

7am - DODGE CITY ROUNDUP “COWBOY CLASSIC” GOLF TOURNAMENT - Dodge City Country Club

Dodge City Roundup, Inc. is sponsoring our annual “Cowboy Classic” Golf Tournament on Friday, July 31st at the Dodge City Country Club. Registration and driving range opens at 7am, with coffee and rolls being served.  Tournament is a 5-person scramble format and begins with a shotgun start at 8am.  Awards Banquet luncheon featuring a steak buffet will be held at 12:30pm. Belt buckles will be awarded to each member of the winning team in all three flights. PRCA contestant entry fee is $45. Individual entry fee is $150 which includes green fees, golf cart, gift, steak buffet lunch, coffee and rolls, driving range, prizes, and beverages on the golf course.  (Add $10 if purchasing two “mulligans”.)  Entries are limited to the first 120 golfers.  For more information, contact Tom Stanley at 620-227-8586.

8am–11am - MISS RODEO KANSAS AND TEEN PAGEANT HORSEMANSHIP – 4-H Arena

Miss Rodeo Kansas/Teen Pageant participants are hard at work beginning at 8am.  This is a beautiful event to witness.  No admission charge.

9am-4pm - WESTERN ART SHOW - Landmark National Bank

9am-7pm – WESTERN KANSAS HORSE EXPO/EQUINE TRADE SHOW - 4-H Building

Miss Rodeo Kansas/Teen Pageant participants will be paired with a BWFA Certified Farrier to make a handmade horseshoe.  Winners will be announced at coronation. 

10am-5pm – HORSE OWNER-FARRIER CLINIC - 4-H Building

Meet Ralph Casey, host of the Dish Network program “Horseshoe’n Time” as he talks about horse behavior and training.  See various seminars on hoof disease and injuries, equine acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapy.

2pm - MISS RODEO KANSAS & TEEN SPEECH COMPETITION/ICE CREAM SOCIAL - Senior Center

Listen as the cowgirls deliver their speeches and answer impromptu questions. This gives you an opportunity to visit with the cowgirls and learn more about each of them.  They will be on hand to answer questions about themselves, the competition, as well as sign autographs.  No admission charge.

6pm - CARGILL HAMBURGER FEED -  Dodge City Roundup Arena

 With your Friday night Rodeo ticket you can enjoy a hamburger, for $2.00, it’s the best deal in town. All proceeds are donated back to the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo to help support our world famous rodeo and to the Little Britches Rodeo event. 

7pm – MISS RODEO KANSAS & TEEN CONTESTANTS -  Dodge City Roundup Arena

Come and see the Rodeo Queen and Teen contestants at 7pm at Roundup Arena.  They will be signing autographs throughout the rodeo.

7pm-9pm - 10pm-12:30am - DODGE CITY DAYS DANCE -  The Alley

The best place for Dodge City youth to be is The Alley during Dodge City Days!  Wear your lapel pin and get $1.00 discount off the $3.00 admission!  Prizes and giveaways all night long—you won’t want to miss the best dance of the festival.  Come hang out and enjoy seeing your friends you’ve missed all summer. Remember—it is last year’s 2008-2009 6th - 8th from 7pm-9pm and 9th-12th grades from 10pm-12:30am. 

7:45pm – DODGE CITY ROUNDUP PRCA RODEO – A WRANGLER MILLION DOLLAR TOUR RODEO, SIVER SERIES/AMERICAN PRIDE NIGHT- Dodge City Roundup Arena

Show your American pride by dressing in red, white and blue.  Water’s True Value will be giving miniature US flags to the first 1,000 people through the gate. A Military Fly over will take place before the rodeo

8:30pm – DODGE CITY DAYS TURNS INTO DODGE CITY NIGHTS - Sante Fe Depot - See Thursday's description

10pm-1:30am – CENTRAL STATION STREET DANCE - Central Station

Performing will be the Jared Daniels Band.
